RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Lexi Love and Suzie Toot break down ‘[in]sane’ feud

Lexi Love and Suzie Toot’s ‘Feud’ on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17: A Battle of Fantasy and Fun

The seventeenth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race has been nothing short of sensational, filled with high stakes, intense performances, and, of course, its fair share of drama. With only six queens left in the competition—Onya Nurve, Lexi Love, Sam Star, Jewels Sparkles, Suzie Toot, and Lana Ja’Rae—the race for the crown has never been fiercer. Among the season’s many feuds and rivalries, one has stood out for its sheer absurdity: Lexi Love vs. Suzie Toot.

A Feud That Exists… Only in Lexi’s Mind?

In a season packed with spats between nearly every possible combination of queens, the supposed rivalry between Lexi Love and Suzie Toot stands out for one peculiar reason—it appears to be entirely one-sided. While Drag Race fans are used to high-tension conflicts, from Jewels vs. Onya to Hormona Lisa vs. Kori King, this particular “feud” is uniquely comedic, largely because Suzie herself seems unaware that she is even involved.

From what viewers have been shown, it seems that Lexi Love has arbitrarily decided that Suzie Toot is her arch-nemesis. During critiques following the Villains’ Roast challenge, Lexi even opened up to the judges about her struggle with constantly comparing herself to Suzie, leading many fans to wonder if the rivalry is more of an internal battle than an actual conflict between two competitors.

Taking the Rivalry Where It Belongs: Fantasy Land

Thankfully, both queens appear to have embraced the absurdity of their so-called feud, treating it with humor rather than hostility. Speaking to Pride.com while attending RuPaul’s Drag Race Live’s 1000th Show in Las Vegas on March 17, Suzie Toot jokingly remarked, “I would describe [our feud] as appropriate, sane, and very grounded in reality. I think that’s my favorite part about it.”

Lexi Love, never one to shy away from a comedic moment, doubled down on the joke. “I even posted a picture of Suzie this week bragging about her makeup because I thought she was copying me,” she quipped.

Suzie, ever the witty queen, fired back with a sharp jab. “On Facebook,” she teased. “Because she’s old.”

Lexi’s response? A playful, “I hate you, you dirty b*tch! You know how many fans have said, ‘Not the Facebook post, Lexi?’”

The infamous Facebook post in question featured Suzie at a meet-and-greet event, with the caption: “…enjoy this photo of Suzie with killer makeup!”—a tongue-in-cheek nod to Lexi’s ongoing joke that Suzie is somehow copying her aesthetic.

Nightmares and Competition Pressure

Even within the competition, Suzie seems as bewildered as fans about why Lexi is so fixated on her. In episode 11, Lexi took things to another level by dramatically announcing to the remaining queens that Suzie had been appearing in her nightmares, further cementing the lighthearted nature of their “rivalry.”

Both queens started off strong in the competition, each winning their respective premiere episodes. While Suzie later secured another victory in the RDR Live challenge, Lexi has yet to add another win to her track record. However, with episode 12 featuring a monologue challenge, Lexi has another opportunity to impress the judges and boost her chances of making it to the finale.

The Verdict? A ‘Feud’ for the Ages—Or Just for Laughs

Unlike many past Drag Race feuds, which have led to heated confrontations, emotional outbursts, and even long-term rifts, the Lexi Love vs. Suzie Toot saga is refreshingly lighthearted. Whether or not Lexi actually sees Suzie as a threat, the playful banter between the two has become one of the most entertaining running jokes of the season.

As the competition nears its final stretch, fans can only hope that this hilarious dynamic continues to unfold. Will Lexi finally get another win? Will Suzie ever take her “feud” with Lexi seriously? One thing’s for sure: RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 remains as dramatic, unpredictable, and fiercely entertaining as ever.
